Sew a Little Fabric Book Corrections
As hard as we tried a few errors have crept into Sew a Little Fabric.
I can't apologise enough about these errors as I know how frustrating it is when you start a project and it just isn't right. I hope these mistakes havn't caused you too much stress.
There are several corrections for the Summer Rain pattern:
Page 172 - templates:
The templates for the Sun and Flower 7 are reversed.
The Sun requires 20 Wedges cut from the smaller template on the right while the Flower 7 requires 16 wedges cut from the larger template on the left.
Page 42 - Background:
A piece has been missed from the background behind the sun. This piece is the light grey spot directly behind the sun. The piece should be 7.5" x 11.75" cut.
Sandwiching a Large Quilt on a small Table
Almost all of the images in this tutorial are incorrect I believe that when the book went to reprint some of the images were removed to be lightened up a bit, so they were easier to see. Unfortunately they somehow were not replaced.
I have recorded a video tutorial which explains my basting technique. If you like you can view that video here:
Or here are the missing images:
Step 6 is correct
Once again, I sincerley apologise for the inconvenience, we must have read the manuscript 200 times, but somehow we all missed these errors.
While not technically an error, I would also like to let you know that the flower in the image above (the white and blue flower at the bottom) does not have instructions on how to make it in the book. I chose to leave this flower out as I only teach this flower at my workshops.
I wanted my students to get something extra from a class with me. You could just make any other size 6 flower to fill this space if you decide to make an exact replica of my quilt.
The fun of this quilt though is to make it your own and let your imagination fly, so why not making up your own flower, there is so many possibilities!
